A cocktail is never just a drink: it's a story, a creative gesture, a moment that combines technique and sensation. With the Martini Brush, the Martini tradition is completely reinterpreted thanks to the BUGIN line of Cocktail Rubs, created for the kitchen but capable of surprising even behind the bar.

The result is a drink that combines elegance, research, and a touch of creative madness: a balance of iconic aromas, unexpected textures, and aromatic notes capable of transforming every sip into a mini-journey.

The idea behind the Martini Brush

The Martini has always been one of the most iconic cocktails in the history of mixology. Born in the late 19th century and consecrated by cinema and literature—think of James Bond's famous "shaken, not stirred"—it is a symbol of style and simplicity. With the Martini Brush, this classic opens up to new interpretations: cuisine meets mixology, and the use of BUGIN rubs adds depth and originality to the glass.

Ingredients and preparation

The preparation begins with a Martini/Asti glass, chosen to enhance the drink's elegant character.

>>> BUGIN Gin (45 ml): the heart of the cocktail, aromatic and rich in botanicals.

>>> ODK Tonka Bean Syrup: a spicy sweetness that enriches the base.

>>> Espresso Coffee: intensity and roastiness, for a bold contrast.

>>> Martini Cocktail Gelatin: a technical detail that gives body, texture, and complexity to the drink.

All the ingredients are poured into a shaker with ice: a vigorous shake blends the flavors and creates an intense and enveloping base, where the character of the gin meets the smoothness of the coffee and the lingering tonka bean.

The touch of style: velvet and rub

Atop the drink, the tonka bean blended with Stillabunt transforms into an elegant velvety layer. It's a soft, persistent, and fragrant finish that covers the surface of the glass.

This is where the star of the show comes in: BUGIN's Martini Cocktail Rub. It's not just a garnish, but an aromatic detail to be enjoyed alongside the cocktail or separately. It adds a play of textures, combining the crispness of the spices with the smoothness of the foam.

To finish, a few drops of Stillabunt Doc Fire ODK: bitter and spicy notes that close the sip with character, balance, and depth.

A multisensory experience

The Martini Brush is a cocktail that doesn't go unnoticed. It's the result of refined techniques, select ingredients, and a desire to break the mold. Elegance and innovation, tradition and experimentation coexist in every sip: from the scent of the botanicals in the gin, to the aromatic touch of the rub, to the velvety smoothness of the tonka bean.

Interesting fact: from the classic Martini to the Martini Brush

The classic Martini began as a simple drink, composed solely of gin and vermouth. Today, it's a blank canvas on which bartenders around the world experiment with creative variations. The Martini Brush takes this tradition to a new level, bringing mixology into dialogue with culinary spices.
