BUGIN at Pitti Taste 2025 in Florence

From February 8th to 10th, 2025, BUGIN Turin Food Gin will be featured at Pitti Taste in Florence.
Come and discover our range of unique and innovative products, ranging from the most iconic cocktails to gourmet cuisine and barbecues. BUGIN will be among the exhibitors at Taste, in Florence, from 8 to 10 February 2025: the appointment is at stand Z/27 (Canaviglia pavilion, Taste Spirits).
Our approach combines a passion for mixology and high-quality cuisine, in a sensorial journey that enhances and, at the same time, goes well beyond the spirit. It is as valid as for the culinary tradition in which it is part: with BUGIN you can enhance it and, at the same time, push it a little further. With BUGIN, gin becomes an ingredient that enriches every moment of your gastronomic experience: from the aperitif to the barbecue, through to the most sophisticated recipes.
A project born from two different worlds
My name is Mauro Schiavo, creator of BUGIN. The project was born in 2018, combining my decades of experience as a bartender and butcher. My passion for cooking and mixology come together in gin, which becomes the perfect ally to enhance the boldest and most refined flavours.
The first step towards BUGIN was to create a distillate that could naturally integrate the botanicals of gin with the spices and aromas used in cooking, especially in marinating meat. So, in 2019, I completed the recipe for BUGIN gin, which took its name from the Piedmontese term "bocin", which means "veal". From there, the idea of combining gin with the artisanal cured meats from our butcher's shop took shape, creating a line of unique products on the market, gin cured meats.
The ideal gin for blending and marinating
Used during cooking, it makes meat dishes such as roast or sliced meat unique. In the kitchen, it is ideal for both marinating and cooking. Go to our video recipe section on Youtube if you want to discover new ways to release its botanicals.
The limited editions: a sensorial journey in a bottle
In 2024, we introduced two barricaded limited editions that reflect our ongoing pursuit of excellence:
BUGIN Barrique Old Tom ex Vermouth: a gin that matures in oak barrels that previously contained red Vermouth di Torino Superiore, enriching the distillate with complex and velvety hints.
BUGIN Barrique ex Thyme: our gin, aged in barrels that had previously housed a thyme liqueur, acquires fresh and spicy aromatic notes that enhance its botanicals.
From the same selection of barrels, we have obtained oak smoking chunks, in Limited Edition, which add an exclusive touch to our gin.
Gin Tonic Ready To Drink: the perfect companion for grillings and outdoor evenings
The last piece of our range is the Gin Tonic Ready To Drink. A perfect drink for those looking for practicality without sacrificing quality. Containing our BUGIN gin and classic quinine-only tonic, this Gin Tonic is ideal for accompanying barbecues, meat and rustic dishes. Just cool it in the fridge to have a ready drink, perfect for any occasion, without preservatives and with a perfect balance between the botanicals of the gin and the delicate bitterness of the quinine.
A 360 degree experience of taste and innovation
At the Pitti Taste fair, you will not only have the opportunity to taste our products, but also to discover how BUGIN gin can be used in cooking and on barbecues. Take part in a sensorial journey that will guide you to discover our barricaded gins, Cocktail Rubs and BBQ sauces, perfect tools for those who love exploring new combinations of flavors and aromas.
The evolution of BUGIN: from gin to gourmet cuisine
Over the years, the BUGIN range has evolved, adding new products designed for the art of mixology, but also for cooking and barbecues.
Cocktail Rub: an innovation that united the worlds of mixology, cooking and barbecue. These mixes of salt, spices and herbs, inspired by the most iconic cocktails (Martini, Negroni, Gin Tonic, Spritz, Gin Mule, Mojito), are the first rubs designed to flavor meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, before any type of cooking, from the barbecue to the pan. Each rub is free of alcohol and preservatives, for an authentic and natural experience.
BBQ Sauces: In 2023, we launched the first American-style barbecue sauces which, thanks to our experience in mixology, combine botanicals and typical cocktail flavors. They are perfect for enhancing grilled meat or adding a touch of originality to your dishes.
And then the novelty of this beginning of the year: jellied drinks! The six flavors corresponding to the six cocktails in the range (Gin Tonic, Gin Mule, Mojito, Negroni, Martini Cocktail and Spritz) in gelatine version, produced in our laboratory, ready to make your cheese tasting unique. We recommend each gelatin drink for a specific type of cheese. The perfect idea, even in the new box containing all 6 jellies, for a truly original gift or to give customers of your restaurant or wine shop a completely new experience.
